 The beautiful area of Crowdy Head is located on a vast expanse of unspoilt beach which includes the North and South Beach. At the North beach end there is no overcrowding. This is a well protected beach, excellent for families. The Surf Lifesaving Club overlooks the beach and patrols operate during the summer months. Four wheel drive beach access is available near the Surf Lifesaving Club. There is a kiosk, cold outdoor shower and toilet facilities. Picnic area with barbecues and picnic tables are nearby.

Crowdy Head Lighthouse

Crowdy Head
 Located 33 kilometres north east of Taree on the Mid North Coast is the historic Crowdy Head Lighthouse. Designed and erected between 1878 - 1879 as one of only five small lighthouses built on the NSW coast. The panoramic views from the lighthouse are breathtaking. Looking north you can see beyond Diamond Head and the Three Brothers region (south, middle and north) which were named by Captain James Cook in 1770 as he sailed up the East Coast. To the south you can see as far as Seal Rocks.

Ellenborough Falls

 Ellenborough Falls is located on the Bulga Plateau at Elands, one hour's drive north-west of Taree on Tourist Drive 8, Ellenborough Falls are a spectacular site. At 200 metres, it is one of the longest single drop waterfalls in the Southern Hemisphere.
Accessible at all times. A kiosk operates on weekends and during school holidays. Detour signage is in place but if you are touring with a caravan or trailer, you may leave them at the Wingham Showground on Gloucester Road, Wingham (fees apply).

Red Head Beach

 Red Head Beach at Hallidays Point is a quiet beach area just north of Black Head Beach. It is ideal for relaxing strolls, meander along the rainforest walk which encompasses striking coastal landforms as well as rare tracts of littoral rainforest and is a must for nature lovers and keen photographers. The walk takes in two headlands - Black Head and Red Head - and is joined by Black Head Beach. Information about the walk is available from the Visitors Centre in Taree or the Hallidays Point Library.

Villa d Esta Vineyard

 Villa d'Esta Vineyard is a small, family-owned vineyard. The vineyard is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, approximately 20 minutes south west of Taree and north west from Forster-Tuncurry. The vineyard was established in 1997, with both table and wine grapes being planted by family and friends wanting to experiment with winemaking. In the 10 years since then, plantings and production have steadily increased.

Wingham Brush Nature Reserve
